As a Ubuntu Desktop user I'm excited about the introduction of a Ubuntu OS for Smart Phones.

Ubuntu OS Mobile


My current phone is the Nokia N9 running MeeGo and I have to say that I am a big fan. It's simple and intuitive and the "Swype" navigation and multi-tasking is fantastic! But with Nokia discontinuing MeeGo, I was concerned about what direction to take when looking for a new phone.

I have seen some initial work from the guys who used to work at MeeGo for Nokia, but this Ubuntu OS for mobile looks promising. Take a look at the video released by Canonical and let me know you thoughts ...
