I recently wrote about Spell Checking your websites with Firefox. However another useful developer tool is the Link Checker - ensure that the links on your website work before loading the site with this easy to use Firefox Add-On.

The Add-On works by stepping through the a tags in your code (ie <a href="#">TEST</a>) to determine if they are pointing to a valid page. If a link is invalid, dead or non-existent, the link is highlighted red. If the link is valid, it is highlighted green. This way, you can easily decipher visually if your web page contains all valid links.

The Add-On is available at the following address:
Firefox Add-On - LinkChecker 0.6.7 »

Click to install the Add-On (there are no other settings required) and then you can Right-Click any web page and select "Check Page Links" to commence the test. The Add-On will commence checking your links and highlight each as it finishes.

I hope you find this Add-On as useful as I have. If you have any other tools that are of use, please share them in the comments below.
